Research
Bioremediation Practical work, experimentation and research activities are an integral part of teaching and learning in Zoology. Hence several laboratories have been established in the Department of Zoology. These labs are providing necessary facilities to the students to understand the methods and procedures used in various branches of Zoology. The labs equip the students with fundamental skills and techniques used in the fields of taxonomy, biodiversity, Entomology, Toxicology, Bioremediation, Microbiology, Bioinformatics, Phytochemistry, Nematology and Nanotechnology. Different research projects are being implemented in collaboration with national and international research institutions.
Department museum plays an important role in research. It includes a demonstration room for dedicated teaching purposes and many collections of important specimens. The faculty members are on hand to assist students at all levels. The department library is open to all students. It has a vast array of books and journals both for undergraduate study and postgraduate research.
