In our Vivekananda College today 24.04.2019 with Blessings of Secretary Swami Vedananda, along with Botany Department & Forest Extension Department, Tamil Nadu Government, Pasumalai, Madurai-4 as a joint venture, started a herbal garden about ½ acre. The Principal Dr.T.Venkatesan, Vice-Principal Prof.V.Parthasarathy, Dr.N.Laksmanan, Head, other faculties of Botany, Forest Range Officer Mr.K.Palanisamy and Forest Watcher Mr.A.Umayavel, with the help of students planted nearly more than 50 varieties of medicinal plants in that area.
