Gurukulam Rules & Regulations

1. This Gurukulam gives prime importance to Life Training. The curriculum also is made intensive. A harmonious development of hand, heart and head is aimed at. Every moment will be profitably spent.
மாணாக்கர்கள் வாழ்வைப் பண்படுத்துவது இக்குருகுலத்தின் முதற் கடமையாகும். படிப்பை ஆழ்ந்ததாக்குவது இதன் குறிக்கோள். ஆற்றல், அன்பு, அறிவு ஆகியமுப்பொறிகளும் இனிது பேணப்பெறும்.
ஒவ்வொருகணப்பொழுதும் நன்கு பயன்படுத்தப்படும்.
2. Students and staff members live in the campus and dine in the common mess together. The teacher and the taught are in close touch in all the activities. Reverence for the master is the most important criterion.
மாணாக்கர்களும், ஆசிரியர்களும் ஒருங்கே வாழவும், சேர்ந்து உண்ணவும் செய்கின்றனர். புகட்டுபவர்களும், புகட்டப் பெறுபவர்களும் ஒன்று கூடி அலுவல்கள் அனைத்தையும் ஆற்றுகின்றனர். குருபக்திகுருகுலவாழ்விற்கு இன்றியமையாததாகிறது.
3. Necessary amenities are provided. Luxury is scrupulously avoided. Simple living and high thinking is the motto.
வாழ்வுக்கு இன்றியமையாத வசதிகள் யாவும் இக்கல்லூரியில் வழங்கப்படுகின்றன. ஆனால் ஆரம்பர வாழ்வு அறவே புறக்கணிக்கப்படுகிறது. எளிய வாழ்வும், சீரிய எண்ணமும் இதன் தகைமைகளாம்.
4. Work is as sacred as worship. No physical labour is menial or derogatory. Training the student in this line is made imperative.
வழிபாட்டில் உள்ளபுனிதம், பணிவிடை பண்ணுதலிலும் உள்ளது. உடல் உழைப்பு இழிவானதன்று. இப்பான்மையிலேயே மாணாக்கர் பயிற்சி பெறுவர்.
5. Self – culture through ethical and spiritual discipline is given due importance. But no indoctrination of any sectarian pattern is put into practice.
வாழ்வைப் பண்படுத்தும் ஆத்மசாதனம் பயிற்றுவிக்கப்படும். ஆனால் சமயவெறி வளர்க்கப்படமாட்டாது.
6. The Gurukulam works on six days a week. Sunday is a holiday. Outing is allowed on Sundays and other holidays from 7.30 a.m. to 7.30 p.m. The daily life commences at 4.45 a.m. and closes at 9.30 p.m. All that takes place all day long are Gurukula activities and obligatory. No Student should leave the campus from sunset to sunrise.
வாரத்தில் ஆறு நாட்களுக்குக் கல்லூரியில் பாடங்கள் நிகழ்த்தப்படுகின்றன. ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமை ஒரு நாள் விடுமுறை. ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமையிலும், ஏனைய விடுமுறை நாட்களிலும் மாணாக்கர்கள் காலை 7.30 மணியிலிருந்து இரவு 7.30 மணி வரை வெளியே செல்ல அனுமதி உண்டு. நித்திய வாழ்வு காலை 4.45 மணிக்குத் துவங்கி இரவு 10.00 மணிக்கு முடிவுறுகிறது. நாள் முழுவதும் நிகழ்வனயாவும் குருகுலஅலுவல்களாம். மாணாக்கர்கள் அனைவரும் இவற்றில் பங்குகொண்டாகவேண்டும். வேலைநாட்களில் சூரிய அஸ்தமனத்திலிருந்து சூரியோதயம் வரை மாணாக்கர்கள் வெளியே செல்லக்கூடாது.
7. Lectures will be spread out from morning to night interspersed with other activities. Besides the academic work, the Gurukula activities include Physical Jerks. Asanas, Games, Prayer (thrice a day) Supervised Study and Weekly Bhajans. Provision is made for learning Music, Photography etc., and also to take part in National Service Scheme, National Cadet Corps, Youth Red Cross, Red Ribbon Club.
காலை முதல் இரவு வரை நடைபெறும் அன்றாட நிகழ்ச்சிகளோடு சேர்ந்தே பாட போதனை நடைபெறும். மாணாக்கர்களுக்குப் போதிப்பதோடு, குருகுலத்தில் உடற்பயிற்சி, ஆசனப்பயிற்சி, விளையாட்டு, மூன்று வேளை தெய்வ வழிபாடு,ஆசிரியர் மேற்பார்வையின் கீழ் பயிலல்,வாரம் ஒருமுறை பஜனை முதலியவை நடைபெறுகின்றன. இசை, புகைப்படக் கலை பயிலுவதற்கும், தேசிய சேவைத்திட்டம், தேசிய மாணவர் படை, இளைஞர் செஞ்சிலுவைசங்கம், செஞ்சுருள் சங்கம் ஆகியவற்றில் பங்கேற்பதற்கும் போதிய வசதிகள் அளிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன.
1. Gurukula activities start from 4.45 am everyday. 2. Sunday is a weekly holiday.
3. Students should do Physical Jerks every morning, Mass Drill once in a week and Asanas thrice in a week. 4. Prayer is conducted thrice a day.
5. Supervised study hours are conducted both in the morning and the evening. 6. Vegetarian food is provided in the Gurukulam.
7. Handpound rice is used here. 8. Food items are served by students in rotation.
9. Students stay in cloak rooms. 10. The colour of uniform in the Gurukulam is White.
11. On every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday students should wear white uniform. 12. Discipline, silence and orderliness should be followed in the Prayer Hall, Dining Hall, Study Hall.
13. Students should wear formal dress during the class hours between 9.40 am and 12.40 pm and between 2 pm and 4 pm. 14. They are not allowed to wear black colored clothes.
15. Students should go to Certificate Course classes in time without being absent. 16. Students should keep silence from 8.45 a.m. to 9.30 a.m.
17. a) Students have holidays once in 45 days so they should not ask for leave for any festivals, functions etc., during working days. b) Leave will not be granted on working days and Saturdays.
c) Students should not extend the leave from home. d) Students should not come late after the leave or holidays.
e) College management will not grant leave through phone calls. 18. Students can involve in useful activities like playing, exercising, book reading between 4.30pm. and 6.00 pm.
19. Students are allowed to go for outing from 7.30 am to 8.00 pm. on Sundays. 20. Students will be suspended and fined if they are found to possess Cell phone, Net Card, iPod, Sim Card in the campus.
21. River, wells, gardens, ponds, railway track are the prohibited areas. Students should
not go near them. If there is any casuality in case of violation, the Gurukulam will not be responsible.
22. Students will be punished if they pluck any fruits, vegetables and other products from trees and plants of college or Ashram.
23. There is not any Student Association/Club/ Union in the Gurukula College. 24. Students should neither lend nor borrow money from the fellow students. Exchange of dress is not allowed.
25. Whenever there is violation of rules on the part students, they will be suspended and penalty will be levied. 26. Long hair, beard, nails are not allowed.
27. Students who indulge in smoking, cheating, stealing, drinking, consuming drug and other forms of bad behaviour inside the campus or outside the campus will be terminated from the Gurukula College or suspended for one year. 28. Students indulging in Malpractice in Sessional Exam or Summative Exam will be terminated from the Gurukula College.
29. The Gurukula properties should be handled carefully. 30. Students should not practise any unwanted activities that affect the general sanitation, cleanliness of the college.
31. Students should keep their cloak room and the campus clean. 32. Mess fees should be paid before the 20th of each month.
33. Students should maintain perfect silence from 9.30 p.m. to 4.45 a.m. 34. Students who indulge in ragging, caste and religious unrest/disorder will be terminated from the Gurukula College.
35. Money collection from fellow students on any reason should be avoided. 36. Printing of caste and party based logo on T-shirts will not be allowed.
37. The Management will not be responsible if students leave the Gurukula College without
permission. If students do not come back to college on holidays, the management will not be responsible.
38. Students should follow the Bhajan Group and sing Namavali, Devotional Songs and Hymn loudly at the prayer Hall.
39. Students should be able to sing Namavali songs, Devotional Songs and Hymns at any time. 40. Students should follow proper dress code at the time of sessional and summative examinations.
41. Students should always wear ID card during working hours at the Gurukula College. 42. Students should not waste food and water at the Dining Hall.
43. Study Hour Self-Evaluative Record should be written by students every day. 44. Holiday activities should be written in 250 words in English in a day in the composition note book.
45. Students should join in any one game and improve the skills. 46. Lap-Top and camera should be used with due prior permission from the Gurukula College. Lap Tops should be used for educational purpose only.
47. Students should not wear/possess precious jewels, heavy cash and they should not own
vehicles in the Gurukula College.
48. Students should obey teachers and should be attentive in the class-rooms.
49. Students should not sleep in the class-room/ in the cloak room during the day time. 50. Students should always be ready for any service in and around the college.
