National Service Scheme, National Cadet Corps, Youth Red Cross, Physical Education of Vivekananda College, and Velammal Medical College Hospital & Research Institute, Madurai. conducted a Blood Donation and Medical Camp at Prayer Hall on 04.03.2020, Wednesday from 9.40 a.m to 4.00 p.m. Dr.M.Seenimurugan, Physical Education Director delivered Welcome Address. Our principal Dr.T.Venkatesan gave Presidential Address. Our vice principal Mr. V. Parthasarathy gave felicitation address and we are proud to quote that our vice principal already donated blood to the tune of 102 times and today is his 103rd time Mr.S.Pandiyarajan gave Special Address. Our secretary Swami Vedananda, and Kulapathi Swami Adhyathmananda, blessed the camp. 25 Students and 5 Professors donated their blood and 361 Students and 25 Professors participated in the medical Check-up. Velammal Medical College Hospital Doctors, Nurses and Compounders medically assisted the camp. Our College NSS Programme officers, Dr.K.Chellapandian, Dr.S.Chandrasekaran, Dr.K.Kamatchi, Prof.M.P.Kumaresan, Dr.T.Selladhurai and YRC Programme Officer, Dr.P.Pattinathar, NCC Programme Officer, Prof. V.Rajendran, and Physical Education Director Dr.M.Seenimurugan jointly organized and co-ordinated the camp. Dr.K.Chellapandian, Department of Commerce proposed Vote of thanks. The Mater of ceremony was Prof.M.P.Kumaresan, Department of History.
