On 25.01.2019, a guest lecture on ‘Wildlife Tourism: Opportunities, Benefits and Conflicts’ was delivered by Sri N. Ravindran, avid birdwatcher, wildlife photographer, Founder and President of Iragukal, a Trust for Nature Conservation. He described about the condition of forests in Tamil Nadu and the Flora and Fauna unique to the region. He aexplained to the students about Wildlife Tourism. He mentioned about the qualifications needed to become a Wildlife Tour Guide and the risks involved with special reference to the accident happened at Kurangini Hills.
